Monday to Friday 38 hours p/w
Camden location (Facilities will relocate to Marsden Park mid year)
Lead a team of 2-3 technical staffResponsibilities
- Undertake and plan analysis workflow, from sample preparation to reporting.
- Maintain NATA accreditation, as well as pursue accreditation for new tests.
- Expand testing scope of the Chemistry Department.
- Operate and maintain instruments (HPLC/GCMS etc.)
- Ability to assess analytical data, based on QC limits.
- Write and review laboratory documentation
- Maintaining sufficient consumables and ordering stock in Chemistry lab, such as standards, chemical reagents and glassware.
- Experienced chemist in animal feed and/or food testing by both manual and instrumental methods.
- Knowledge of QA/QC requirements within a NATA accredited laboratory.
- Experience in method development, including validation and verification.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Water testing experience is advantageous.
- GC-MS/HPLC knowledge desirable but not essential
