The Factory/Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and operations at the manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring the efficient utilisation of resources, maintaining high-quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.Key Responsibilities: * Production Management:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimising efficiency and minimising waste.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, including supervisors, operators, and maintenance technicians in large teams of up to 200.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Hands-on approach with a can do attitude in a fast-paced environment while having fun.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Manage inventory levels to optimise working capital while ensuring uninterrupted production.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to support production requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Utilise lean manufacturing principles and tools to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
- Analyse production and performance to identify trends and opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred but not necessary.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG and food manufacturing, with a proven track record of success in a managerial role.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams of up to 200 people.
