- Lead the strategic planning, execution, commissioning and oversight of the tunnel hydraulic systems including wet fire and systems and low point sumps, ensuring alignment with overall objectives and deadlines.
- Effectively lead a diverse delivery team of technical and site resources, fostering a high performance culture that is inclusive and collaborative.
- Direct all phases of the wet fire and sump systems from delivery through to commissioning and successful handover.
- Effectively manage all financial, commercial, quality, compliance and schedule aspects of tunnel hydraulic systems.
- Actively adopt and foster digital delivery methods being implemented by the project.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operational teams to integrate wet fire and sump systems seamlessly into project infrastructure.
- Effectively manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality materials and services within budgetary and time constraints.
- Uphold stringent compliance with relevant project standards, plans, and best practices.
- Continuously assess system performance, advocating for and implementing improvements to meet evolving safety standards and project needs.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in managing tunnel wet fire and hydraulic systems, including a proven track record in large-scale project delivery.
- Deep understanding of relevant Australian Standards and best practices pertaining to wet fire and hydraulic systems.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with a history of leading multidisciplinary teams to success.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- A problem-solver mindset with a proven ability to innovate and enhance system designs and processes.
