- Installation: Setting up new signalling systems or upgrading existing ones according to specifications and safety standards.
- Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections, testing, and maintenance procedures to ensure the proper functioning of signalling equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and diagnosing faults or malfunctions in signalling equipment and implementing appropriate repairs or adjustments to restore functionality.
- Testing and Commissioning: Conducting thorough testing of signalling systems to ensure reliability and adherence to safety regulations before putting them into service. This includes commissioning new installations and verifying their performance.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and testing results to track the history and performance of signalling equipment.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other railway personnel, including engineers, supervisors, and operators, to coordinate signalling activities and ensure the safe and efficient movement of trains.
- Certificate IV in Electrical - Rail Signalling
- Electrical license
- RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker Identification)
- 3+ years of experience as a Signalling Technician
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative.
- Construction white card.
- C-class driver's licence.
- Strong communication skills.
