- Ensure timely and accurate coding of the fortnightly payroll in line with policies and procedures
- Prepare PAYG and Single Touch Pay reconciliations and submissions meeting ATO deadlines
- Review and grant employee entitlements ensuring that the information is correct
- Perform payroll end of month and end of year tasks including Single Touch Pay reconciliations, reporting and final lodgement
- Contribute to process improvement by participating in a range of payroll and service delivery optimisation activities
- Carry out comprehensive testing and analysis for all system upgrades
- Maintain employee details including superannuation, allowances, deductions, tax, personal details, bank details
- Provide a responsive, accurate client advisory service on payroll matters, resolve difficult enquiries, and assist in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating a computerised pay system for excess of 500 employees
- Experience in the interpretation of industrial instruments and legislation
- Extensive experience administering and reconciling workers compensation and other Payroll related general ledger accounts
- The ability to manage workload with competing priorities, meet deadlines and ensure accuracy
- Experience on Payroll End of Year and End of Month processes and reconciliations
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance
