Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer to join their dynamic team on 3-4 mont contract.   • Ensure timely and accurate coding of the fortnightly payroll in line with policies and procedures
  • Prepare PAYG and Single Touch Pay reconciliations and submissions meeting ATO deadlines
  • Review and grant employee entitlements ensuring that the information is correct
  • Perform payroll end of month and end of year tasks including Single Touch Pay reconciliations, reporting and final lodgement
  • Contribute to process improvement by participating in a range of payroll and service delivery optimisation activities
  • Carry out comprehensive testing and analysis for all system upgrades
  • Maintain employee details including superannuation, allowances, deductions, tax, personal details, bank details
  • Provide a responsive, accurate client advisory service on payroll matters, resolve difficult enquiries, and assist in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action
What you bring:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience operating a computerised pay system for excess of 500 employees
  • Experience in the interpretation of industrial instruments and legislation
  • Extensive experience administering and reconciling workers compensation and other Payroll related general ledger accounts
  • The ability to manage workload with competing priorities, meet deadlines and ensure accuracy
  • Experience on Payroll End of Year and End of Month processes and reconciliations
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance
