This is an exciting time to join the team as they continue to be awarded new projects and are driving a values led culture.About the Role.As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial transactions and reporting processes of the company. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, analysing financial performance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.The Financial Accountant will support and report into the Financial Controller and assist and take responsibility across the following key areas;

Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and accordingly to required deadlines.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial discrepancies.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, and prepayments.
Monitor and analyse balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and post journal entries as needed to reflect accurate financial transactions.
Contribute to the preparation of the annual budgets
Assist in the implementation and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
Other finance related functions as directed by financial controller.

The Ideal Candidate.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience in financial accounting or related roles.
Demonstrated ability to implement rules and guidelines in accordance with established policies.
Thorough understanding of accounting principles and AASB financial reporting standards.
General knowledge of accounting systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
