Working in a highly skilled team of I.T professionals, this role will focus on performing the system administration, operational troubleshooting and ongoing continuous improvement of the client’s Unix / Linux solution which supports a number of digital applications across the enterprise. Other duties will include engaging with stakeholders, system users and external vendors to gather requirements in order to understand how they want the Unix / Linux solution to perform. This is a highly exciting role to work with some of-the-best in the business, within an supportive team environment. This initial contract will be for 6 months with further extensions highly likely (ongoing) and will be performed in the client’s Parramatta-based offices 2 days per week, and 3 days per week working from home (Hybrid). Some occasional evening & weekend support will also be required for this rolePls note - Candidates looking for a fully-remote role, need-not-apply.Required skills and experience:
- 10+ years System’s Unix / Linux Administration experience in total
- 7+ years Red Hat & Solaris experience in total (Ansible, Puppet, Satellite, SPARC, LDoms, Zones, ZFS etc.
- 5+ years experience of managing & leading design build teams
- Excellent communication & client stakeholder experience
- Proven Scriping experience (Perl, Shell etc.)
- Previous Virtualisation experience (VMWare, Hyper V)
- Certified in Red Hat and/or Solaris
- Previous Government, Banking or Telco experience
