- Delivering projects to budget, time and quality. Typically, projects may include strategic planning studies, feasibility studies, concept and detailed design projects, maintenance plans and reviews and operational studies. There will be significant emphasis on the development and delivery of multidiscipline projects in all rail-based technologies.
- Provide technical / design expertise into projects as required.
- Candidates will have relevant electrical engineering degree or recognised tertiary qualification; and,
- Membership of a relevant Engineering Institution or other professional body
- 5+ years postgraduate experience.
- Ideally, candidates will possess knowledge of rail systems and the rail industry and depending on discipline) specific experience in:
- Translating Operators' requirements into functional specifications.
- Preparation of Signalling Plans.
- System design for Interlockings, control systems, lineside equipment, automatic train protection systems (and other safety overlays), train describer systems, fibre optic communications systems, transmission equipment, microwave systems, radio systems, level crossing contrail, warning systems, CCTV, Information systems.
