  • Experience implementing Configuration and Data Management processes in development projects
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools such as Windchill
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across engineering disciplines and organisations
  • Experience managing export controlled and secure/sensitive data is desirable
  • Experience with Document Editing/Publishing Tools is good to have
  • Experience using workgroup collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence or similar
  • Experience working within a Defence environment is not essential but is highly desirable

LMA has entered into an arrangement with BAE, Saab and CoA (MIWS) for the execution of all Combat System Integration work related to the Aegis Surface Combatant fleet.The agreement, called the Combat Systems Integration - Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement or CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). The CSI-IPT evolves the current independently executing programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 under an umbrella enterprise organisation formed as a program of programs.The CSI-IPT will be built up with personnel from LMA, BAE, Saab and the CoA to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.The CSI-IPT is engaging each organisation to offer candidates for roles from their existing staff and will select from the pool of candidates provided across all organisations. The CSI-IPT will select candidates on a best-for-enterprise basis, taking into account the need to maintain a balance across all organisations.About the Role:
This Configuration and Data Management (CDM) Analyst is responsible for ensuring that CDM activities are undertaken in accordance with the program's CDM plans. In this role, you will:
  • Apply the processes and procedures for the identification, control and distribution of project data within the Data Management System (DMS)
  • Liaise with data owners/authors to ensure project documentation is prepared according to schedule and contract requirements
  • Coordinate reviews of documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met
  • Work closely with the Export Compliance Coordinator to ensure compliance with the Project Export / Import (EXIM) Compliance Plan and Sensitive Information procedures
  • Maintain technical documentation records in accordance with the Configuration Management and Technical Data Plans
  • Prepare agendas for Configuration Control and Review Boards
  • Progress change items through the review and Configuration Management process and prepare change authorisation documentation for presentation at review boards
  • Work with engineering and drafters to ensure models, drawings and parts are configured and structured within the CM tool
  • Establish and maintain baselines and material for major project review and milestone activities
  • Maintain configuration item status and deliver Configuration Status Accounting Reports as required
