Our focus is solving our clients' business problems through optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness and digitally innovative legal service delivery.The Opportunity:
  • 12 month contract (covering parental leave)
  • Full time (may consider 4 days)
  • Sydney
  • This is an opportunity to join an organisation in their standalone Employment team
  • You will have a few direct reports and while there is some traffic directing, this role is very much "on the tools"
  • Build your portfolio legal career with this well-known and highly regarded team
Job overview/skills needed:
  • Experienced Employment lawyer - the work is external facing rather than BAU internal issues so relevant experience of dealing with litigation is necessary
  • Ability to work with the Australian and NZ arm of the business (NZ law experience not necessary)
  • Ability to manage external facing issues, including an understanding of the issues and recent reforms affecting the "gig" economy
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise
  • Ability to be a doer and confident being on the tools
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience
  • The ability to understand and adapt to the needs of the business
  • A current practising certificate
