Eligibility: Open to EveryoneAn excellent opportunity is available for an experienced ICT Architecture Lead to join our Corporate Services Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.The role will be a part of our Information & Communication Technology (ICT) branch and will require someone with a strong application (software) architecture background in a complex application landscape, ideally combined with exposure to and/or the development of application roadmaps and an understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) as a capability. Ideally you will have had experience with or exposure to the setting of a strategic direction as to how to pivot to a new architecture that underpins component reuse and a digital service delivery agenda. Furthermore, any experience with / exposure to having set a direction and/or supported a transition to a hybrid on-prem/cloud architecture where cloud enablement is driven by business benefit will be highly advantageous.The ICT Architecture Lead is responsible for:
- Providing high level strategic advice to the ICT Committee and PIRSA Executive for future investment in ICT and Digital systems to support business outcomes, drive business efficiencies and secure the integrity of the ICT environment.
- Developing and assisting in implementation of ICT Digital & Technology roadmaps aligned with the ICT and business strategy.
- Developing ICT architectures and standards for the organisation that enables the implementation of the PIRSA’s ICT and Digital strategy, PIRSA’s Corporate Plan and interoperability with whole of government systems.
- Collaborating with senior ICT and PIRSA Division managers to convert business practices and processes into architectural frameworks, facilitating the implementation of streamlined and impactful technology solutions.
- Undertaking high level research, horizon scanning and analysis to identify future ICT trends, and assess applicability to support business objectives.
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Australian residency or current work permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- 6-month contract opportunity with possibility of extension.
- Desirable: tertiary qualifications in an ICT-related field.
- Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to drive is desirable.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
