- Responsible for inventory management activities including receiving, storing, rotating, and handling supplies in the warehouse.
- Organizing & supervising the transportation & delivery of products including raw material and finished goods for distribution both internally and externally.
- Delivering goods from the warehouse to the manufacturing cells on the factory floor.
- Timely and accurate receiving of goods for the support of the manufacturing and outbound shipping operations.
- Effective management of the warehouse and associates to ensure fast response times, high quality deliveries, and high inventory accuracy.
- Work with the customer service team in Australia to establish order to delivery lead times.
- Work closely with the rest of the Global Supply Chain organization to achieve goals of delivery quality, on time delivery and productivity.
- Manage the Australian and New Zealand transportation suppliers including managing the freight payment process.
- Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures.
- Support best practice safety performance levels and ensure business complies with all relevant EHS regulations to achieve health & safety objectives.
- Deploy distribution best practices (based on the Danaher Business System) across the distribution network.
- Leadership of direct reports as well as management of distribution in the region
- Build a team and culture using the DBS functions to continuously improve quality, on time delivery and productivity in receiving, replenishment, shipping, and transportation.
- Warehouse management. Track record of managing warehouses and warehouse employees to proficiency.
- Carrier management. History of working with LTL and Small parcel carriers.
- Use of lean methodology and techniques to improve productivity, reduce cost, improve delivery performance.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various disciplines and levels within the organization.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, establish targets, and develop implementation plans in support of business objectives.
- Proven leadership in driving and developing a high performing team.
- Experience in working in a global, fast paced, matrixed environment an advantage.
- Degree qualified, supply chain focus preferred.
