Our goal is to accelerate internal field, customer, and partner performance through targeted skill development initiatives.As the Field Enablement Manager for Microsoft Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), you will spearhead the Internal Field Skilling strategy, planning, and execution to empower Microsoft's employees. This involves developing industry, technical, sales, professional, and managerial capabilities across all segments, driving capability uplift aligned with Area priorities and Microsoft's evolving learning culture.Reporting directly to the Microsoft ANZ Area Learning Director (CLO), you'll collaborate closely with the ANZ CVP, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), HR Leadership, segment business leaders, managers, ICs, and skilling champion communities. Operating as a trusted advisor and strategic collaborator, you'll continuously align enablement strategies with critical business priorities, fostering agility and innovation.This role holds significant visibility within Microsoft, engaging with employees and business units across the organization. Supported by a dedicated Microsoft Asia Operations and Solutioning Team, you'll ensure seamless logistics and program execution. Additionally, you'll partner with the Corporate WWL team to provide real-time feedback on global program effectiveness in ANZ and co-create global initiatives, representing the voice of ANZ Leadership and employees.Success will be measured by the effective landing of global programs, alignment of capability development with monthly/quarterly business priorities, and the tangible business impact of acquired skills. Building a culture where learning is embraced with enthusiasm and intent will be a key indicator of success.The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for Learning, a robust program management background, experience working with Executives, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to drive our skilling culture and articulate the value of our unique programs to employees.Responsibilities:
  • Operate as Area learning advisor and subject matter expert for professional, industry, sales, technical, and management skills development programs in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
  • Prepare quarterly Employee Skilling Plans based on ANZ leadership insights, business needs, and Corporate worldwide direction.
  • Represent Microsoft’s Learning strategy with strategic customers to foster sharing, thought leadership, and co-innovation.
  • Engage business leaders, managers, and learners to optimize learning activities' business impact.
  • Lead landing of worldwide Corporate learning programs and design local programs aligned with area business priorities and diversity aspirations.
  • Drive learner participation and resource usage, improving employee signals metrics.
  • Manage budget effectively and allocate resources for successful outcomes through Microsoft Asia Operations and Solutioning Team.
  • Communicate learning insights for improvements and influence Microsoft's global learning approach.
  • Provide insights, recommendations, and reporting on local and global program performance.
  • Monitor program consumption using business insights and analytics, providing feedback to content creation teams.
  • Establish an Area Communication strategy, keeping employees’ learning choices at the core.
  • Partner with Area stakeholders and worldwide communications team to maximize learner reach and experience.
  • Actively promote diversity and inclusion at Microsoft.
  • Develop local skilling communities among employees to encourage learning adoption and innovation.
  • Demonstrate learning innovations and thought leadership externally.
  • Gather and apply relevant insights for internal and external benchmarking through engagement with partner and customer stakeholders.
Qualifications:Minimum Experience
  • 5+ years within a learning and development role
  • Strategic advisory experience with C-Suite stakeholders
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with program/ project leadership in international corporate sales, marketing, or services environment, ideally within the IT or a related industry.
  • Learning and capability development experience desirable; management experience is a plus.
  • Experience and understanding of factors that motivate and drive results within technical, sales and marketing organisations, including quota carrying sales experience and /or channel or technical community development.
  • Strong organisational agility in an enterprise environment and proven cross boundary collaboration capabilities, including v-team coordination
  • Experience in change management and leading complex, organisation-wide programs or projects.
