Work with us to provide 4-year-old health and development checks in Early Education settings.Brighter Beginnings is a collaboration between NSW Health and NSW Department of Education to provide health and development screening and assessment to preschool children in early education and childcare centres in western Sydney.The Brighter Beginnings Senior Speech Pathologist will be involved in innovative screening, assessment and providing therapy programs and intervention for four-year-old children in early education settings.The Brighter Beginnings Senior Speech Pathologist provides direct clinical services, coordinates service provision, and works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team and supports capacity building for health and education staff.Benefits of working for Western Sydney Local Health District * Paid Allocated Day Off (ADO) every month, in addition to your annual leave (For fulltime staff)

- Extensive post graduate clinical experience in managing paediatric clients with communication and developmental difficulties and managing screening, assessment and early intervention in paediatric speech pathology in a community health setting.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, education and support to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes
- Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process and evidence-based practice.
- A valid NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to travel to fulfil requirements of role.
