Working with Programmed Facility Management means you will become part of the Programmed family: a company that encourages career development, supports flexibility and cares about your personal wellbeing and safety.The Role:We currently have a new vacancy available for a Carpenter/Handyperson who will be responsible for minor maintenance and building works. You will work across Sydney Water sites & assets delivering both reactive and preventative maintenance repairs under direction from your Supervisor.Responsibilities will include:-

Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of a number of Sydney Water facilities
Carry out general repairs such as broken fixtures, damaged doors, basic painting, carpentry, tiling repairs and general building maintenance
Prioritise and attend to urgent requests
Perform pre-start inspections and keep audit reports
Assist the wider trade team with two-person works, spotting and general assistance
Assist Supervisors and Coordinators with guiding subcontractors onsite, scoping works and providing feedback

What you will need:

Construction White card
Manual Drivers licence
Proven track record in maintenance, ideally within a facilities environment
4+ years experience
Flexible approach and a positive attitude
Excellent Customer Service & Communication Skills
A team player but also able to work autonomously
Be willing to partake in our on-boarding process which includes pre-employment medicals, reference and qualification checks, online inductions
Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal direct supervision
Dedication to safety and safe work practices
