- Out reach based in Adelaide City with regular travel across Metro Adelaide
- Support those who have been bereaved or impacted by suicide at any stage in their life
- Respond to people and communities affected through suicide, with person centered support aligned with the StandBy Model.
- Attend home visits to provide clients with grief support
- Assist with the facilitation of training for communities to raise awareness of suicide and bereavement
- Manage and maintain detailed case files to ensure accurate information is gathered and stored
- Participate in regular debrief sessions with the Coordinator and external supervision as required.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent level of expertise and experience in social science, health or associated disciplines relevant to the requirements of the position.
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is desirable.
- Hold a current 'C' class driver license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
- Understanding of grief and bereavement approaches
- Experience in working with families and individuals affected by suicide will be highly regarded
