Company Overview:Our client a leading company in the commercial cleaning and integrated property services industry, committed to delivering top-notch services to their diverse real estate and corporate clientele. With a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join the team in Sydney.Responsibilities: As a Procurement Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organisation, with a particular emphasis on cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment. There will also be some rationalisation of indirect spend as well.Key responsibilities include:
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to secure quality products and services at the best possible prices.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to establish mutually beneficial relationships. Ensure supplier performance through regular assessments.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and analyse market trends to make informed decisions that contribute to cost savings without compromising on quality.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions. Draft and review contracts to protect the interests of the company.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and maintain quality standards for products and services. Implement processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory. Implement efficient inventory control measures.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and finance, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Procurement in the commercial cleaning / property services industry, both direct and indirect spend.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
