Job Description:The Transport Operator will provide support for the day-to-day delivery of transport services to Defence.Responsibilities:This position will deliver a range of services including, but not limited to:Maintain a safe workplace and environmentEnsure a safe driving service to Defence and Civilian customersComply with Transport Regulations and Defence Road Transport InstructionsOur employees are the face of Downer and play a pivotal role in delivering the service commitment we have made to our clients.Qualifications:Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship);Current Open Drivers Licence (mandatory);Current MR / HR Drivers Licence (preferred);An understanding of Defence Traditions Protocols is an advantage;Must be able to gain an understanding of Defence Transport requirementsExcellent customer relations and interpersonal communication skillsMust be able to work unsupervised and in a small teamMust be flexible in working hoursExperience as Transport Operator with a clean driving recordThe successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, achieve highest level of safety, quality of work and have a genuine passion for excellent customer service.Benefits and CultureSupportive and inclusive culture
