This role requires learning the packaging process in a detailed way and then being able to train new team members and build a packing team that you would become the supervisor of. This role involves physically packaging up garden sheds from the production line in preparation for dispatch. As a Warehouse Packing Team Leader, you will be on your feet for the majority of the day, working in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

Learn the current packing systems and processes and then train and lead a packing team
Packaging garden sheds accurately according to customer orders and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Utilizing hand tools effectively and safely during the packaging process.
Maintaining a keen eye for quality to identify defects and alert the team for rectification.
Demonstrating excellent attention to detail to ensure orders are packed accurately and efficiently.
Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Developing coordination skills necessary for efficient packing processes.
Exhibiting a willingness to learn and grow into a leadership role within the warehouse team.
Assist the production manager with improving quality and efficiencies on the manufacturing floor while remaining primarily responsible for packing and output

Requirements

Quick learner to understand the current systems and processes and then train new team members and have leadership skills
Previous experience in a timber warehouse or manufacturing environment with lean experience.
Forklift Licence
Ability to work efficiently on your feet for extended periods and to work with heavy items
Great attitude and hard work ethic
Excellent coordination skills and attention to detail.
Experience using hand tools is essential.
A keen eye for quality and the ability to identify and communicate quality concerns effectively.
