- Examine patients' feet to determine the nature and extent of conditions, deformities and injuries;
- Treat foot disabilities caused by diseases such as diabetes, peripheral vascular disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, and other neuropathies;
- Record patients' treatments and progress and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical interventions;
- Maintain accurate and up to date medical records and relevant clinical activity data as required;
- Assist health and community groups by raising awareness of healthy lifestyles, disease and disability, and other health-related issues; and
- Collaborate with specialists and lead teams to provide holistic health plans for clients.
- Demonstrate understanding and commitment to chronic disease management, patient centered care, best practice, health promotion and continuing professional development;
- Possess the ability to exercise independent professional judgement in problem solving, assessments or interventions with or without supervision;
- Demonstrate initiative and adaptability in relation to time management and workload priorities; and
- Have well-developed written and oral communication skills and able to demonstrate the ability to positively participate and contribute within teams.
- A relevant Podiatry qualification
- A current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's License
