- Ensure strict adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to the project, maintaining meticulous records and documentation to demonstrate compliance throughout.
- Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, fostering open communication channels and collaboration to support project objectives effectively.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to assist in the comprehensive planning of project activities, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk assessment.
- Play a pivotal role in the engagement of contractors and suppliers, from initial tendering processes through to evaluation and contract management.
- Take ownership of the development and maintenance of all site delivery-related documentation, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Risk Assessments, and Works Packs. Lead efforts to streamline project communication and documentation processes, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all project-related materials.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards and risks within the project environment.
- Provide valuable signalling technical advice and support to the project team, leveraging extensive industry knowledge and experience to overcome technical challenges and optimize project outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team, actively seeking out opportunities to refine work practices, streamline processes, and enhance project efficiency.
- Show readiness to work on-site beyond regular business hours to accommodate the demands of upgrading the delivery schedule during the "after last before first" train schedule.
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent with 3-4 years of experience in railway signalling systems or related operational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality signalling solutions, including experience in design, construction, or testing.
- Proven track record of working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, integrating systems, and achieving project objectives.
- Strong ability to plan and develop detailed project scopes, organize work efficiently, and manage budgets effectively while adhering to standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to mediate conflicting requirements and make informed decisions based on analysis.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts within diverse teams, articulate technical issues clearly, and work collaboratively towards solutions.
- Self-driven with the capacity to identify and resolve issues independently, while effectively managing resources to achieve project outcomes.
