About the RoleThis role will assist young people with a learner’s permit to practice their driving in order to achieve their ‘Log Book’ hours. Such supervision and instruction will not involve the formal teaching of learner drivers. Instead this supervision and instruction is intended to compliment formal driving lessons provided by a qualified Driving Instructor.This role is being offered on a part time basis (10 hours per week) and will be based across the Geraldton region.About YouTo be successful in the role you will be able to:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of WHS workplace requirements and experience implementing WHS policies, systems and processes in a work setting;
  • Demonstrate your ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to type (minimum 30 words per minute);
  • Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective relationships with a diverse range of participants, particularly young people; and
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the region and townships and experience driving in this area.
You will also be required to:
  • Hold a full unconditional driver’s licence for the relevant State for at least 5 years’ prior continuous duration and not be subject to any good behaviour bonds;
  • Current Working with Children’s Check or ability to obtain.;
  • Undergo a National Criminal History Check; and
  • Hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain one.
