- Education: Holds a bachelor's degree in technical education, training, and/or EHS-related fields (e.g., Safety Officer), or possess recognized certificates that showcase your expertise.
- Experience: Has a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the field of EHS.
- Incident Management: Understands the incident management lifecycle comprising incident reporting including classification, containment / corrections, Root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Language: Has good command of English, both written and spoken, ensuring seamless communication in our global environment
- Communication: Has good communication and presentation skills, enabling you to effectively convey EHS details and requirements to diverse audiences.
- Leadership: Can lead, guide and collaborate with various functions / disciplines on all EHS matters.
- Auditing: Having a Lead Auditor Certificate in ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001 will be an added advantage otherwise trained as an internal Auditor with good understanding on Audit lifecycle is essential.
- Analytical Skills: Has the ability to analyze and solve EHS matters, identifying root causes on EHS incident and establishing appropriate corrective actions.
- Legal Compliance: Has a good understanding of applicable statutory / legislative requirements, ensuring our operations adhere to all relevant requirements.
- Energy Sector Experience: Having some experience within the energy sector or power plants will be an added advantage, allowing you to bring domain-specific insights to the role.
- Quality and Security: Any experience in the field of Quality Management and Security is a plus as both topics are part of the overall scope and any support on those topics will be seen as a benefit.

- Sound knowledge of Legislative / Regulatory and International Standards requirements and keeps abreast with the changes ensuring all functions / personnel within Siemens Energy are made aware as applicable.
- Guiding and educating all personnel on EHS requirements based on the established management system.
- Disseminating EHS details and information from Siemens Energy and Region on timely manner in accordance with the line of communication.
- Ensure timely engagements with internal and external stakeholder as well as fulfilling all requirements considering the interfaces along the life of an activity or project.
- Diligently participate in all meetings, engagements and collaborate with the region focal points on EHS matters and ensure all applicable requirements are effectively rolled out across Siemens Energy Australia.
- Ensures EHS activities are adhering and where applicable complementing with Siemens Energy and the Regional EHS Plan / Road Map.
- Support responsible EHS teams in the areas when needed and guide them in respect to legal requirements and best practices.
- Ensure the corrective and preventive actions i.e. Lesson Learned are implemented effectively and the effectiveness of those are gauged during inspections or audits as part of the continuous improvement process.
- Ensure training requirements for Office, Project personnel and contractors are fulfilled in accordance with the established training matrix.
- All training records are maintained appropriately and easily accessible and retrievable.
- Facilitates and guide all relevant personnel / functions on risk management / assessment methodology.
- Ensures risk assessments are performed and covered wide across all activities
- Review and update the risk assessment accordingly considering review cycle, audit finding, customer requirements and incidents.
- Ensure accurate, complete and timely internal and external EHS reporting in accordance with the stipulated requirements and frequency.
- Always being proactive and seeking ways and mechanisms to improve EHS with emphasis on Lean Management, simplification, digitalization and innovation which are essence of continuous improvement.
