In this role you will be responsible for schedule development, scheduling, planning, monitoring and control activities across a range of projects and platforms, ensuring the project scope is well tracked, both in terms of time and cost.Responsibilities include:Liaising with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, as well as planning and bids and estimating team to create and maintain valid and accurate bid and project schedules in Primavera.Advise the Project manager of scheduling / production issues that might impact on key schedule dates.Highlighting areas of schedule and cost concern and identify potential actions for improving performance.Carrying out analysis of project schedule and cost performance.Ensuring data transfer, data coordination between various program management software systems to ensure capture of accurate performance data.Preparing regular reports and charts on project schedule progress and project performance.About You:Formal qualification in area of Engineering, Project Management or Project Planning/Control, suitable trade or engineering training & experience, or extensive industry experience in related fieldUnderstanding of naval/maritime projects, processes and procedures will be advantageousExperience in a ship building/repair or similar heavy engineering industry, and/or civil engineering field will be favourableDemonstrated skills in project schedule developmentExperience using Primavera or similar specialist project planning applicationStrong communication skills and collaborative working styleGood to Know:You’ll get an email acknowledgement after you’ve applied, Thales strives to provide a personalised experience for all suitable applicants.As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
