The T2U service will visit towns of lower population density within a designated area on a rotational basis providing individual consultations, group programs and community engagement activities. This unique service model provides greater access to care and support for families experiencing complex early parenting difficulties, while being connected for clinical support through the Tresillian network of services. The successful applicant will work as part of a team with an Aboriginal Health Worker, establishing key connections and opportunities for collaboration with local service providers to improve the pathways to care and support for families.The Royal Society for the Welfare of Mothers and Babies, trading as Tresillian, was formed in 1918 to coordinate early child and maternal health care services in New South Wales (NSW).   • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Postgraduate qualifications completed in Child and Family Health.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, evidence based practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in attending to the physical, social and emotional needs of children, and their families.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles and skills of working in partnership and the principles that underpin NSW Safestart, within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including computer literacy.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C.
