- Priorities repairs and maintenance in conjunction with the manager to ensure all fleet and vessels can carry out their tour schedule
- Carry preventive maintenance servicing and breakdown repairs for all items of our fleet, vessels, and property maintenance equipment, in a manner that does not disturb guests
- Ensure regular maintenance of prime power generators is carried out when required to ensure the lodge always has reliable power
- Utilise the most efficient and cost-effective means to ensure maintenance requirements are met
- Ensure the quality of work undertaken complies with defined procedures and delivers outcomes consistent with the business plan objectives
- Ensure correct interpretation & compliance with relevant legislation, OST and Journey Beyond policies
- Mechanical experience on vehicles
- Mechanical experience on vessels
- Mechanical experience on gensets
- Experience with diesel and ULP motors
- Experience repairing and troubleshooting mechanical and auto electrical equipment
- Proven knowledge of both marine vessels and land operating tour vehicles
- Mechanical trade qualification (petrol and diesel engines)
- Driver’s License (MR/HR preferred)
- Previous experience working remotely
- Strong communication and literacy skills, be diligent coupled with a high attention to detail
- High level of computer proficiency, analytical reporting skills
