- Design, develop, and implement PLC-based automation solutions to streamline manufacturing processes and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of automation systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of automation solutions to verify functionality and performance against defined specifications.
- Provide technical support and training to operations teams for effective utilisation of automation systems.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in automation to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Most of our PLCs are Allen Bradley, therefore, your expertise with these is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering within the FMCG industry, with a focus on PLC programming and implementation.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs using languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation protocols and standards (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and integration with PLCs for data visualisation and monitoring.
- Proven ability to analyse complex automation issues, troubleshoot system failures, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results within established timelines.
