We're looking for exceptional Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) Nurse Officers to play a vital role in shaping the future of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).The successful candidate will be primarily based in our Darwin Clinic on a Part-Time basis.DUTIESAs a Nurse Officer, you will be a cornerstone of our team, responsible for conducting preliminary assessments and providing guidance to Medical Screeners.Your role will encompass:

Conduct telephone vetting:

Review online medical history questionnaire and extract additional information while taking notes in the online medical records system.
Medical file reviews
Archive record identification and requests
Extant reports requests as needed
Ensuring all preliminary assessment information is entered accurately into the electronic health record
Monitoring & maintaining equipment used during preliminary assessments
Follow established policy and procedures within a well-defined Defence framework

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSAs the successful candidate, you will be a Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) together with the following:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Sharp eye for detail
Ability to navigate electronic health records/systems and other relevant ICT systems
Minimum 3 years’ broad medical experience in a health system comparable to Australia
Experience within a Defence or on-base setting or in the delivery of pre-employment medicals would be highly desirable.
Current Working With Children Check
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAD009) certification.
