(HEO8) $106,561 - $119,550 (pro rata for part time) per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.27 months fixed-term contract - 0.6 FTEThe Division of Research and Innovation plays a pivotal role in advancing the University's strategic objectives, particularly focusing on research strategy, researcher education, service provision, infrastructure, and fostering world-class research and impact, both domestically and internationally. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, engagement, and impact, the Division is tasked with realising the research goals outlined in the University Strategic Plan.The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research) oversees strategic planning and policy initiatives related to research, coordinates the University's research investment budget, and fosters the development of research alliances and partnerships, both domestically and internationally. It holds leadership responsibility for the University's Research portfolio, encompassing the Research Institutes, Adelaide Graduate Research School, Innovation and Commercialisation Services, Research Services, and Research Infrastructure & Platforms.The Senior Project Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Office of the DVCR by managing division-wide projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives..To be successful you will need: * Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, managing and executing multiple outputs and deliverables, with an ability to set priorities and use initiative.
  • Proven experience in leading small teams to meet organisation goals.
  • Proven experience in change management and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of computers and computer software, including standard MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
Desirable:
  • Working knowledge of the Higher Education sector in Australia.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant graduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
