Job Description:We are looking to fill a Pool Attendant position within our Sport & Recreation team at one of our Defence facility in Townsville. We have a Part time position available for the right candidateMax Term Part time Pool Attendant - Lavarack Barracks32.5 hrs per week, Monday to Fridays, 6:00-13:00Hourly rate: $28.68 per hour as base rate plus superannuation.First Aid and CPR and Pool Lifeguard qualification requiredABOUT THE ROLE:

Conduct pool opening procedures, including removing pool covers, cleaning the pool and surrounds
Place lane ropes in pool and prepare all safety equipment
Test the pool water and record the daily results in SMM
Conduct lifeguard activates throughout the opening hours of the pool
Undertake the rescue of any user as required in accordance with standard work instructions covered by the certification
Ensure all pool safety equipment and rescue equipment is always available
Conduct pool closing procedures
Manage access to swimming pools by entitled members only

Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
Current First Aid Certificate
Fit, active and energetic
Pleasant out-going personality and positive attitude with customer service experience
Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory)
Certificate III in Fitness (preferred)
