- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and age-appropriate Primary Music lessons.
- Foster students’ appreciation for music through singing, instruments, theory, and performance opportunities.
- Work with the Instrumental Music Coordinator to direct and support choirs, ensembles, and co-curricular music activities.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and collaboration through music-making.
- Contribute to College performances, concerts, and events that showcase student achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Performing Arts team and the broader school community.
- Relevant tertiary teaching qualification with a focus in Music Education.
- Current teaching accreditation/registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Demonstrated ability to teach classroom music at the Primary level.
- Skills in directing choirs, ensembles, and leading group performances.
- Proficiency with a range of instruments is desirable.
- A collaborative, flexible, and student-focused teaching approach.
