- Supporting the implementation of safety policies and systems across project sites
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and proactively managing risk
- Conducting safety audits and performance reviews
- Monitoring safety metrics and analyzing data to inform decision-making
- Providing expert guidance on subcontractor management
- Delivering continuous support, coaching, and training to project teams.
You are a safety-focused professional with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills. You bring a practical approach to driving safety outcomes and the ability to lead cultural change on-site.
You will also have:
- A Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety
- Proven experience in a safety role within a project-based environment, ideally in civil construction
- Demonstrated ability to influence and improve safety outcomes with subcontractors and direct employees
- Strong understanding of safety legislation, policies, and implementation best practices
- Sound knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental management system standards
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
- Proficient computer skills, including data analysis and reporting
- Strategic thinking capability aligned with both client and internal goals
- Experience conducting audits and investigations, and formulating improvement plans
- A strong grasp of safety culture and experience implementing related systems in project environments
