Located in the Shire of Yilgarn, on a 14/7 FIFO roster, you will thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.Yilgarn Iron Ore Project includes the sites of Koolyanobbing, Windarling and Parker Range. The Yilgarn region has a long history of iron ore mining and is located in the Shires or Yilgarn and Menzies with ore being railed to Esperance Port for export. The productive mining areas are located on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.In this role, you will have:
  • Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output
  • Complying with Thiess' policies and procedures
  • Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor
  • Ensuring floor levels are maintained
  • Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances
  • Maintain stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure flow in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operate, drive and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads
  • Setting and maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Carrying out pre-start checks
About youTo be considered for these opportunities you are required to have:
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience operating a CAT 992 Loader in a production mining operation including loading at the ROM
  • Possess strong mining operational skills and be able to demonstrate your ability in maintaining pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
  • Valid Australian drivers license
