--The roleLooking for a hands-on role in one of Australia's most unique horticultural environments? As a Horticultural Labourer at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden - Mount Tomah, you'll support the care of one of the country's best cool-climate plant collections, including the iconic Wollemi Pine. You'll also assist in maintaining 250 hectares of World Heritage-listed wilderness and contribute to turf management across open spaces—making this a truly varied and exciting opportunity.You'll be part of a passionate team working across arboriculture, natural areas, and open space management. From weed control and propagation to machinery use and conservation work, no two days will be the same.   • Experience in tree work, conservation land management, turf care, or greenkeeping.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in a physically active role.
  • Familiarity with horticultural machinery, tools, and safe work practices.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
  • Sound understanding of WHS procedures and commitment to safety.
What is an essential requirement:
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork for extended periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry a minimum 15 kilos.
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
