An exciting opportunity is available for the position as Assistant Trainer to Peter & Paul Snowden at our Flemington Stable. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of organising and running of the stable. Essential skills:

Proven experience within the racing industry as Foreman;
Excellent communication and time management skills;
Extensive knowledge and experience with all aspects of horse care such as identifying injuries and administrating of treatments;
Monitoring horses for soundness, injury or illness.

Responsibilities include:

Communicating with farrier, vets, physio, dentist and spelling properties and the daily running and organising of the stable;
Communicating weekly updates to owners;
All necessary duties for race days;
Clock trackwork times;
Organising of staff with rosters.
