Find out more and .Your OpportunityMission Australia Housing provides social and affordable housing to vulnerable Australians ensuring they have access to good quality housing that enables people to participate in their communitiesWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Operations Support Officer to join our Housing Services team. This pivotal role will provide operational support across housing, assets, and community development streams to ensure we deliver high-quality, sustainable housing outcomes for tenants.You will contribute to meeting contractual and compliance requirements, support staff in managing complex tenancy issues, and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved. This role also involves mentoring Housing Officers, coordinating reporting, and engaging with tenants, communities, and stakeholders to build strong, collaborative relationships.Your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Provide high quality customer service by directing the clients to appropriate information and resources, managing up to date tenant files and work with stream leaders to provide senior operation support
  • Develop and contribute to range of reports, review KPIs and ensure all external and internal compliance requirements for Asset and Tenancy management are met.
  • Manage complex tenancy, participate in range of case coordination and provide job coaching and mentoring to housing officers
  • Manage and coordinate specialist programs as directed by Housing Services Management
  • Assist the Regional Asset Manager and Asset Management Team to maintain good governance and maintenance by utilizing asset management framework systems and tool and also support student placement
  • Actively participate and contribute to developing strategies that connect tenants to additional support
  • Support the facilitation of special grant projects and liaise with team members to ensure gaps and service needs are addressed
  • Support Community Development in community engagement and development of media publication
  • Manage high risk and complex portfolio tenancy management
  • Work collaboratively with National Managers to deliver services to clients and community
Requirements for Success
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of trauma-informed practice in context of vulnerable client groups
  • Community housing experience or Senior Property Management experience
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills along with excellent customer service and conflict management
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple competing priorities.
  • Relevant qualification in social or community services
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products for reporting
  • Current Drivers’ Licence and WWCC are essential
