We have strong growth ambitions for the team and are looking for people to be a part of our journey.We are open to considering candidates at both Consultant and Senior Consultant levels.We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with the opportunity to work from our Sydney, Newcastle or Canberra offices and remotely for ~ 2-3 days per week, as desired.What you'll do

Provide environmental assessment and planning inputs (EIS, SSI, SSD, REFs, SEEs, MWREFs, etc) into projects which vary in scale and complexity including large scale local and national infrastructure projects such as:
renewable energy focused projects - transmission and generation
transport projects - supporting new infrastructure developments and the transition of existing infrastructure towards Net Zero status
water projects - supporting asset maintenance and delivery programs
Have project management opportunities and the ability to further develop this skill set with support from experienced senior team members
Collaborate with technical discipline specialists such as ecologists, acousticians and contaminated land scientists, engineers and designers, heritage consultants, stakeholders and the community to create innovative solutions
Support growth of the business with work winning initiatives, including preparation of fee proposals
Develop new and support existing relationships with clients
Be part of a supportive, exceptional team of passionate environmental and planning professionals

You'll engage with diverse clients, spanning Commonwealth, State, and Local Governments, as well as the private sector (including Tier 1 Developers). The role offers exposure to various statutory Commonwealth/State/Territory environment and planning approval processes, with potential opportunities across different states.Our recent projects include:

Early strategic environmental assessment of renewable energy projects including emerging renewable technologies (offshore wind, pumped hydro and hydrogen technologies) and transport projects such as Zero Emissions Bus transitions
Planning approvals for iconic projects including, Western Sydney International Airport Airspace approvals, Inland Rail and large transmission line and energy transition projects such as VNI West, EnergyConnect and Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone

About youYou're likely to have between 2- 8 years of experience in planning and environmental approvals, and you strive to resolve environmental issues to help shape outcomes in our community.In addition, you bring the following skills and attributes:

Experience and interest in authoring environmental impact assessment and planning approvals documents
A working level understanding of NSW and/ or ACT's environmental assessment and planning framework
Developing project management skills in coordinating multidisciplinary projects
Be enthusiastic and motivated and enjoy working both with independence and as part of larger teams
A desire to build your brand in both the NSW/ACT and national markets
