Enjoy work-life balance, collaboration with a supportive co-lead, and the opportunity to drive innovation in allied health education-ideal for experienced professionals seeking meaningful impact with part-time flexibility.About the TeamAlfred Health Allied Health Education team comprises 4 staff across 2.2 EFT and supports our staff to learn and grow throughout their careers, so that they feel competent and capable in their roles. The team is governed by the Chief Allied Health Officer and the Allied Health Directorate. The Allied Health Directorate comprises predominantly Allied Health Therapy professionals.Position SummaryThis position is responsible for leading, operational planning and delivery of the Allied Health education workplan in conjunction with key partners and stakeholders. The primary role of the position is to engage Allied Health staff and students in clinical education activities, specifically undergraduate students, graduates, new and existing staff and Allied Health Assistants. The role will create opportunities for interprofessional learning and collaborate extensively, explore innovative educational practices, and identify opportunities for quality improvement activities to ensure clinical practice is enhanced for optimal patient care.Qualifications & Experience Required (see Position Description for full details)Essential
  • Registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009 (where appropriate) or accreditation with relevant self-regulating professional body
  • Allied Health qualification (at least 10 years' experience), with eligibility for membership of relevant Allied Health professional body
  • Post graduate qualification at Master's level
  • Applied knowledge of multi-modal design, implementation and evaluation of single discipline or interprofessional education models
  • Applied knowledge of programme development supporting the competence, capability and capacity of Allied Health clinicians
Highly Desirable
  • Completion of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Completion of a Graduate Certificate in Education or Health Professional Education
  • Demonstrated experience in multi- modal design, implementation and evaluation of interprofessional education models
  • Demonstrated ability to develop programs that support the competence, capability and capacity of Allied Health clinicians
