You will collaborate with talented and diverse professionals working on iconic projects to drive future ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.Our Mining team helps clients optimise performance, boost profitability, and operate responsibly. We have a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry and current issues including decarbonisation and understand future ready strategies are critical to countering these issues, capitalising on opportunities, and adding value to businesses.We work for the world largest mining companies including BHP, Glencore, Rio Tinto, Yancoal, Anglo American, Hancock, not only in Australia . We develop relationships with our clients that go beyond a single project or geography and see ourselves as partners in their mining business, not just consultants. Our partnership with these clients stretches over decades, across many continents and projects.You will do the following:

Design delivery of projects
Engage in study design, engineering, and project management across several different fields.
Leading scope and budget development in response to clients' needs.
Develop designs from conception through to constructable detailed designs ready for immediate execution.
Working with the wider resources team and other teams within the company nationally and internationally to deliver clients' outcomes.

About you:

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar equivalent including Chartered status (CPEng, RPEQ) or ability to obtain is desirable.
Have proven local experience in design, ideally within a consulting environment. Mining industry experience in coal or other commodities is preferable.
Demonstrated experience in leading the technical design of pump and pipeline infrastructure including constructable detailed designs
Demonstrated technical experience in slurry pumping, pipelines and piping systems, including process plant design is desirable.
Demonstrated experience in managing design teams including oversight and mentoring of junior engineers.
Demonstrated experience in client interfacing roles, managing multi-discipline studies and detailed design projects achieving scope, budget, schedule and quality outcomes.
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards and a good understanding of piping engineering practices applicable to mining piping design.
Experience in managing proposal development essential.
