We are an innovative team of over 80 staff providing services for clients throughout the Perth-metro, and South-West of Western Australia.Our allied health professionals possess a wealth of expertise and experience working with individuals across all age groups with neurological and developmental conditions .The RoleWe are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the team.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
  • Assessing the home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed.
  • Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
  • Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
  • Preparing clients for a return to work.
  • Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
  • Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
  • Maintaining professional knowledge and technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
  • Complying with federal, state, and local certification requirements.
  • Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.
Ideal ProfileSkills required:
  • You possess a tertiary qualification as an Occupational Therapist
  • You have the registration with (or intention to register with) AHPRA.
  • You have highly effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You have the ability to grow and nurture personal relationships founded on the basis of respect and value for unique individuals.
  • You have experience in the healthcare and/or disability sector is highly desirable.
  • You have demonstrated experience working with infants and children.
  • You have an intent Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
