Due to business growth we have a contract opportunity for a Conveyancer to join our in-house team, supporting Stockland's Masterplanned communities' portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to work in a national contracts team in a collaborative environment. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the in-house Development and Sales teams.Based in our Sydney head office on Castlereagh street, this role offers the flexibility to balance working from the office and home.This role is being recruited on a full-time contract basis until February 2025.Key responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and execute contracts, manage contracts (including 'subject to finance' clauses, cancellations, extensions, rescissions), manage registration, manage settlement and post-settlement activities. Contract types include sale of land, put and calls, accretions, nominees, leasebacks, display village, mortgage/vendor finance
  • Support plan registration, manage settlement and post settlement activities
  • Proficient in the use of PEXA across all subscriptions, maintain skills with regular training and sign financials in PEXA
  • Comply with all Compliance Plans relative to Conveyancing, subject to training
  • Participate in the implementation of initiatives in the Release to Settle Transformation or other relevant projects within the state, including embedding changes and measuring benefits
  • Undertake training in the preparation of master contracts
  • Comply with team processes and policies including Legal Escalation, document storage in Salesforce and SharePoint
  • Assist with backfilling peer file operators when they are on leave
About you
  • Minimum 12 months experience in working as a Conveyancer in legal or similar environment
  • Hold a conveyancing licence would be advantageous
  • PEXA experience is a must and experience using DocuSign, SharePoint or Salesforce would be ideal but not essential
  • Proficient in using MS Office for email communication, diary management and reports
  • Strong collaborator, you work well as part of a team
  • A self-starter, you're organised, great attention to detail and a natural problem solver
