- Utilise Microsoft Power BI for data analysis, report generation, and dashboard creation to support planning and performance.
- Customise reports and dashboards to identify improvement opportunities, ensuring data integrity.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain analytical tools, processes, and workflows for capability management planning.
- Collect, analyse and validate data for project implementation, ensuring outcomes through control mechanisms.
- Provide expertise in emergency services-related technical areas and create processes/materials for data analysis.
- Review reporting tools for accuracy, coordinate project activities and establish document control procedures.
- Participate in workshops for data collection relating to capability planning and communicate findings effectively.
- Support the maintenance and development of capability planning software applications, including the design and delivery of training for the applications to improve the user community experience.
- Implement and maintain procedures to meet compliance, governance and security standards.
- Collaborate across the organisation to align with key projects and stakeholders.
- Any other support activities required to assist the Capability Team.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience in a similar role using Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal briefing skills for the presentation of complex data, development of policy and process, document writing, and reporting to senior management.
- A strong background in data analysis demonstrating creative, analytical, conceptual problem solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to extract, interpret and present information in a meaningful way.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver successful outcomes in a high pressure environment, whilst supporting multiple projects simultaneously to coordinate and prioritise tasks to meet objectives and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Ability to work autonomously using a flexible, proactive approach with minimal supervision, whilst also being an adaptable and supportive team member.
