Overview:Casual hours, commencing SeptemberTeaching into C3416 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), C4430 Certificate IV in Disability Services and C5440 Diploma of Leadership in Disability ServicesBased at the Melbourne CBD campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.About YouAs a Casual Aged Care & Disability Services Teacher within RMIT’s College of Vocational Education, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the program.You will participate in the program’s continuing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including online delivery methods) and methods of students’ assessment. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.We are looking for casual teachers to assist in subjects in Individual Support Ageing and Disability Services.Our ideal candidate will have:A qualification in the TAE40116 or TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult educationCurrent industry experience within Ageing and DisabilityPCA, EN, RN and Disability or other relevant qualificationsDemonstrated experience of teaching in Vocational Education is desirableHold an Employee Working with Children card (Victoria)Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing an employee Working with ChildrenAbout the College of Vocational EducationThe purpose of RMIT’s College of Vocational Education is to empower learners and our industry, community and government partners to succeed in the new world of work.
