We are currently inviting applications for a national role, welcoming candidates at a Senior or Associate level from NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, and ACT.This recruitment introduces a newly created role dedicated to bolstering the execution of diverse building projects with a specific focus on Mission Critical Facilities (Data Centres).Our Property and Buildings team is a world-leading management and technical consultancy operating across all sectors. We are passionate about tackling the complex and sophisticated challenges of the built environment and delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to create accessible, resilient and liveable communities.What you'll doAs a Associate/Senior Electrical Engineer you will be part of a wider network of professional engineers working on both local and national projects. Specific activities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide electrical design expertise on a variety of mid to top tier multi-disciplinary projects, with a particular focus on Mission Critical Facilities (i.e Data Centres)
  • Deliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time
  • Take lead on engineering design when required, project coordination and management
  • Communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams
  • Be a supporting figure and mentor for lesser experienced engineers
  • Build solid client relationships and representing the business with the local and regional markets
About you
  • Hold a recognized Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrate expertise in designing electrical systems
  • Have the ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
  • Proven project experience in the building services sector across Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare, Educational, and/or Mission Critical facilities. Data Centre project experience essential.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
  • Ensure registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.
  • Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Capable project and people leader - train, and mentor junior engineers, coupled with effective communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance an advantage but not essential
