Join our dynamic new team in Canberra working on the exciting NBN upgrade project. As Senior Project Engineer, you'll lead a team to plan, forecast, and manage the Program of Works, ensuring timely delivery and optimal profitability. You'll support the Construction Team and oversee budget, reporting, and compliance across all phases of the project.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Engineers
  • Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to plan and deliver the full design and construction program
  • Ensure workforce, safety, quality, and scheduling needs are met
  • Manage traffic plans, council approvals, and LAAN access notices
  • Track and communicate variations and ensure timely reporting
  • Oversee construction dashboards, trackers, and completion artefacts
  • Coordinate stock orders and manage construction changes
  • Support financial forecasting, budget tracking, and reconciliation
  • Analyse KPIs and lead improvement initiatives
  • Ensure contract compliance and manage exemptions for KPI breaches
About You
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related field) - desirable
  • Project Management certification (PMBOK, PMP, Prince2) - desirable
  • Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong leadership, financial, and commercial acumen
  • Prior experience on NBN projects - essential
