Due to the firms continued growth, they are looking to welcome an Associate or Senior Associate to their CTP Insurance team. The role will involve a small amount of public liability work also. The CTP team is a close-knit family of seasoned practitioners who have represented Australia's top insurance companies. This role will see you collaborating closely with the team of senior practitionersand explore opportunities in other insurance matters. General responsibilities may include:
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Drafting requests, court documents and submissions
  • Preparing extensive advise for clients
  • Correspondence with opposing solicitors and other stakeholders
  • Analysing materials, both informally and under subpoena
  • Preparing evidence for hearings
  • Attending court sessions
  • Retaining and instructing expert witnesses
  • Drafting letters of instructions to investigators for factual reports
THE CANDIDATE
  • Strong academic record
  • Solid technical ability and litigation experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in working effectively as part of a team in a private practice environment
