
Wind Turbine Technician - Electrical

- Perform planned preventative maintenance routines and make performance checks as required.
- Repair, refurbish or replace defective plant equipment and perform corrective maintenance activities as required to restore plant and equipment performance.
- Operate and / or assist with the operation of all assigned plants.
- Document all activities, readings taken, materials and time used to input information into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance requirements by performing technical procedures, inspections, and test plans.
- Respond to afterhours call out in accordance with the Standby/call out roster.
- Provide support to other wind farm sites as required.
- Participate in appropriate training both formally and informally (by passing on own expertise) as required.
- Travel across sites and locations to support maintenance across different platforms and locations as required.
- Accredited Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Global Wind Organisation certification (GWO). Heights rescue desirable.
- Preferable Wind Turbine Experience/Accreditation highly regarded but not essential.
- Current Driver’s License.
- High Voltage Switching experience and qualification desirable.
- Extensive work experience in the heavy industry sector desirable.
- Fundamental understanding of asset management principles desirable.
