The food and beverage space is the stage and your role is ensure that as you conduct to incorporate every little detail into your masterpiece: live music, entertainment, lighting, cocktails, exquisite food, Ovolo styled staff to serve, provide and meet every expectation to delight our guest flawlessly.About the roleWe are on the lookout for an incredibly talented Venue Manager who will drive and mentor an already exceptional team. You will be able to influence and motivate the team and ensure our guests receive a memorable, world class experience.Reporting to the General Manager, we require someone who can showcase great talent and drive a service focused culture. You will be leading from the front and setting standards high, managing the venue from end to end, ensuring a smooth operation of all moving parts across the venue.In such a key leadership role, you are backbone to our business and It's your job to ensure that you maintain the highest level or service, most importantly every one of our customers receives an experience that'll leave them yearning for more.Who you are
  • Hail from Brisbane's fast paced modern standalone restaurant and bar scene
  • Hands on and leads with purpose, demonstrating, training, and defining the expectations for the team
  • Leading from the front, ensuring your team understand what exceptional looks like everyday
  • Up-skilling and developing each team member specifically around premium product knowledge and service standards
  • Accountability for day to day operations and business performance
  • Ensuring each and every guest has a seamless and entertaining experience in our venue
  • Finding growth opportunities, activation and delivery
  • Effective financial management around Cost of Goods Sale, sales budgets and profits
  • Effective stock management, quality improvement and reporting
  • Leading a large team of passionate individuals to ensure that they are consistently delivering an exceptional experience to our guests;
  • Maintaining a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, ensuring our venue is always immaculate;
  • Ensuring that our focus is always on the guest and their experience;
  • Managing strong financial controls as well as initiating and executing growth strategies to increase top line sales.
The gig
  • Monitor service standards and procedures followed by team members and take action where standards not achieved including informal and formal performance management processes
  • Proactively drive team morale and promote a productive and enjoyable team culture and environment
  • Make decisions and take appropriate action in regards to problems or conflicts between team members
  • Ensure optimum efficiency and achievement by focusing on business needs, setting priorities and maximising productivity and development of strategic organization goals that pertain to hotel and F&B operational performance and achieve business goals
  • Implement and monitor feedback mechanisms to improve operations and the service culture
