We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a salaried Specialist Gastroenterologist to join our dedicated team.About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled, team-oriented, and enthusiastic Fractional Specialist Gastroenterologist to provide high-quality clinical services at SWH. Services provided will include Outpatient sessions endoscopy sessions in Upper and lower GI endoscopy; participation on the week day gastroenterology consultation roster and teaching junior doctors and undergraduates. This position forms part of a collaborative team of specialists, you will play a key role in expanding and enhancing gastroenterology services at SWH.Position Overview
Employment Time - Ongoing, Fractional role up to 0.5 FTE (40 hours per fortnight)
Locations: Warrnambool Campus
Salary: Competitive remuneration, commensurate with experience
What You Bring
AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) or an equivalent specialist qualification
Extensive experience in gastroenterology, ensuring confident practice in a regional setting
A commitment to quality improvement and best practice in gastroenterology
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and team-building skills
Experience in training and mentoring junior medical staff
