
Deputy Board Secretary

- Provide expert support to the Board, wider Executive team and Committees, including preparation of Board and Committee minutes, agendas, briefing materials and correspondence in coordination with the Chair and CEO.
- Ensure compliance with all corporate governance obligations, legislative requirements, and ministerial expectations.
- Lead the coordination of Board-related reports, Ministerial briefings, and key organisational documentation such as the Annual Report and Corporate Plan.
- Oversee the Aircraft Noise Ombudsman (ANO) function including stakeholder engagement, cost centre management, and inter-agency coordination with Defence and government representatives.
- Manage a direct report - the Board Support & Events Coordinator - and oversee seamless delivery of Board operations and events.
- Act as a trusted advisor and liaison to internal and external senior stakeholders, including Board members, the CEO, ELT, Department of Infrastructure, and the ANO's office.
- Extensive experience in corporate governance or company secretariat roles within government, regulatory, or large commercial entities.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive and complex matters at an executive level.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing high-quality Board and Ministerial papers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders including Board members, senior executives, and government departments.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing staff and supporting high-performance teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Governance, or related disciplines.
